Following some research at the Scientific and Literary Institution, Highgate, I have come across material showing that a primitive version of the oath was taken by certain carefully selected travellers through Highgate as early as the 13th century, and that a complete version of the oath with the horns appeared as early as the 14th century. I will go back and have a further look, since I wasn't looking for this particularly last time and thus did not double-check. Tailindil21:20, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
