Was not correct about who Susan Atkins talked to. As stated on a program on the History Channel, "True Crime: Helter Skelter", Susan Atkins told the story of the Tate - La Bianca murders to her cellmate at the Sybil Brand Institute, a woman named Ronnie Howard. It was Ronnie Howard who telephoned the criminal authorities in Los Angeles County and told them the story. This was what put the police on the trail of the murderers and their mastermind, Charles Manson. It is likely that Susan Atkins told more than one fellow inmate at the Sybil Brand jail about the seven murders, and reported the story. There are references that say so. However Ronnie Howard was an important one and was the only one who was mentioned in the TV program "True Crime: Helter Skelter". Please see the references that go with the Wikipedia article on Linda Kasabian, and probably with others who were involved in the Charles Manson atrocity and the trial that followed.98.67.166.234 (talk) 23:04, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
