Wondering after whom the road Tom Benson Way in Tanterton, Preston, Lancs (UK) is named, I find that this is the most likely candidate listed in Wikipedia. If confirmable, it might be worth adding to the article, as I suppose having a road named after one is an indication of Notability. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 212.95.237.92 (talk) 16:51, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's possible, but I think it's much more likely that it's named after the Preston-based long-distance walker, who set various world records in the 1970s and 1980s; the road was built some time after the mid-1980s.
