Can this Wikipedia article (Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture) be renamed Tad Taube or Taube Philanthropies? Tad Taube is a philanthropist. It appears that he has "Taube Philanthropies" as the main thing and also other organizations, including the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture. He is notable and may be more notable than this particular organization (Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture).
- http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Tad-Taube-escaped-Nazis-created-own-empire-2389263.php "Now, at the leadership table of three foundations with a combined $550 million in assets - the Koret Foundation, the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture, and the Taube Family Fund - Taube redirects a sizable portion of Bay Area wealth along with his real estate fortune to numerous artistic, athletic, civic and Jewish cultural institutions."
- http://www.sfchronicle.com/business/article/Serendipity-guides-philanthropist-Tad-6458625.php "Taube, who made his fortune largely in real estate, continues to work at his day job. But he says 70 percent of his time now is devoted to philanthropy as the leader of three foundations — the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture, the Taube Family Foundation and a donor-advised fund at Stanford."
- http://jewishbusinessnews.com/2014/10/28/culture-minister-says-48-million-museum-donations-mean-jews-forgave-poland/ "The Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture and the Koret Foundation, both headed by Krakow-born philanthropist and one-time child actor Thaddeus “Tad” Taube, 83, have the biggest private donors to the museum, have bundled more than $16 million, according to JTA."

Taube Philanthropies consists of two separate grant-giving foundations: Taube Family Foundation and Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture
[edit]- Quote from their website: http://www.taubephilanthropies.org/mission "Taube Philanthropies consists of two separate grant-giving foundations:
- The Taube Family Foundation (TFF) has been a leader for over thirty years in supporting diverse educational, cultural, and civic and communal organizations, as well as public policy initiatives, in the San Francisco and Greater Bay area community.
- The Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture (TFJLC), established in 2003, helps ensure the survival of Jewish cultural life in the face of unprecedented global threats to the Jewish people. The Foundation promotes Jewish Peoplehood in order to strengthen Jewish community and sustain Jewish heritage. The Foundation celebrates current Jewish achievement in all aspects of human endeavor and seeks to advance the reform of Jewish institutions, which have often become disconnected from the people they serve." 64.134.64.190 (talk) 02:15, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
- 64.134.64.190, hello. Having gone through the sources given in the article and the content and some of yours, I feel that 'Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture' is the appropriate title of this article. It wouldn't be appropriate if the article is moved to a new title when the content and sources are about 'Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture'. Per this source, the foundation exists (regardless of being a branch) and I see no reason to move this article to a new title. If you feel that 'Tad Taube' is notable enough for an article (notability criteria), you may create an article using the article creation wizard here.
