Ethnic Descent

There seems to be some back and forth and confusion by some editors on this. The fact is as Karyo has said, indeed several times in discussing his music (yes he has has realized an album and tours with a band in addition to his acting) Karyo father was Sephardic Jew living in Istanbul and his mother was an ethnic Greek.

Constantinople
