Grammar

[edit]

The frequent occurrences of "the Te Matua Ngahere" really really grate. "Te" means "the", so this is "the the father of-forest". I thought about changing it, but this linguistic anti-pattern is likely to turn up elsewhere, so it might be a good idea to think about it generally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.237.110.86 (talk) 08:20, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pix

I removed one of the two pix - I couldn't get two pix to look right beside such a small article. Maybe someone else can do it better. Kahuroa 05:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have a number of resources to contribute here: - A video of the forest, including specific coverage of Te Matua Ngahere. - A geocache right there (w/ lots of useful information), as well as at two other nearby locations of relevance. I therefore propose the following inclusions under external links:

Oppose. As has been explained to you by several people at User talk:Faber Optimé, you should not be linking to your own work, and all those who have reviewed your videos to date appear to have agreed that they are not suitable as links. Geocaching links are also not suitable-gadfium 20:21, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Measurements

[edit]

I have added a note highlighting that all the measurements were taken in 1971. Oldtreeman (talk) 22:13, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
