I don't understand this bit:

"as businesses expanded and women moved into higher paying jobs. Tea ladies are not commonly found today except in very small businesses."

as I would have thought that the smaller the business, the less likely they were to be able to afford a tea lady. I work for a small business and I make my own tea, thank you very much :-) 217.155.20.163 23:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other countries[edit]

Of course, women pushing around food carts were common in other countries, too, but they were not called "tea ladies." GeorgeLouis (talk) 20:27, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Minister[edit]

In season 3 episode 3 at about 9:30 they get into an elevator with, what appear to me to be, a tea lady. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:0:E03:13B7:287C:1E:D957:A270 (talk) 12:38, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Always a lady?[edit]

How can we be sure every "tea lady" was a lady?

I propose renaming the page "Tea attendant" but do not know how.
