Untitled[edit]

This page is about one of the finest colleges of the west bengal, INDIA. Many students may want to know about this college before getting admitted. It may also be useful for people who wants to know about techno india group and their activities in the west bengal. this page therefore should not be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TictSTUDENTS (talkcontribs)

  • While this page appears to be a vanity page by virtue of the name of the original editor, I do not think that the article qualifies under the A7 speedy deletion criterion. The article is about a college, not a club or group; furthermore, the article does assert some notability. If there's an objection, AfD is the more suitable process. Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \b.co\.cc\b on the local blacklist

Revertion of edit on April 18th 2019[edit]

I reverted the deletion and the redirect to the college's website as User:Swagatapaul had said they were going to create a new page for this college. My recommendation is to keep the page as it is right now and then make the page redirect to the new one (if the college now goes by a different name)) after it is created. Ravquaza (talk) 18:44, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That is completely the wrong approach. If the college has changed name then the thing to do is to move (Wikipedia's strange terminology for renaming) this article to the new title, not to create a new article under the new name, and especially not for anyone with a conflict of interest to do so. Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because we have created our new page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techno_International_New_Town . This new page will be the only official page of our college - Techno International New Town (Formerly known as Techno India College of Technology). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swagatapaul (talkcontribs) 07:38, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Swagatapaul, you seem to have taken no notice of my comment in the section above, but fortunately another editor has moved the page properly. I would add that this is an encyclopedia written from a neutral point of view, not a hosting site for official pages. Please respect this. Phil Bridger (talk) 08:49, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
