The Temagami Land Caution was a territorial dispute in the Temagami area of Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It was applied in 1973 by the local Aboriginal community of Teme-Augama Anishnabai as a way of maintaining 10,000 km² (3,900 sq mi) of land that they claimed ...

It appears that the Caution was a legal action undertaken by Teme-Augama Anishnabai as a tactic in their dispute. The nature of that action – and who was on the other side of the dispute – need to be made more explicit. —Tamfang (talk) 06:54, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An Indian reserve of one square mile was created on Bear Island in Lake Temagami prior to the Temagami Land Caution. As far as I am aware of, the Teme-Augama Anishnabai didn't have aboriginal title to the land they claimed during the land caution. Volcanoguy 10:40, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Temagami Land Caution was lifted in 1995 as a result of a court order by the Supreme Court of Canada.
