Why Thai Wikipedia not use Gregorian calendar ?

Ia look in Thai Wikipedia using non-Gregorian calendar (Buddhist calendar) in his articles. For examples:

and many more.

Why ? I look Arab Wikipedia not use Islamic calendar, while Chinese Wikipedia also not use Chinese calendar, both using Gregorian calendar. Are Thai people more use local calender more than Gregorian calendar ? Are an other Wikipedia expert WBT who also using non-Gregorian calendar ? --Erik Fastman (talk) 02:31, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
