Mieruch[edit]

Is it clear if Mieruch is part of the Blue Party? There doesn't appear to be anything published in German media that suggests as much; only a few stories from a couple weeks ago saying that Petry wanted to nominate him as a vice president of the Bundestag, and also in the context of him having also left the AfD group. I also found a Facebook page (no blue checkmark, though) purporting to be his which links to the blaue-wende.de, but again no other explicit statements (and German media again doesn't appear to have mentioned it). Titel[edit]

Hallo, ich bin aus Deutschland und ich denke, dass der Titel so sein sollte wie im Deutschen, weil der Name eine Eigenbezeichnung ist und in Deutschland nirgendwo ein Plakat zu finden sein wird, auf dem die englische Übersetzung steht. --84.152.15.103 (talk) 03:44, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The above is a plea to use the German name of the party for the English Wikipedia article title. Logically that would extend to Christian Democratic Union of Germany, Social Democratic Party of Germany, Alliance 90/The Greens, National Rally, Socialist People's Party (Denmark) and many more. English-language media frequently translates names, including the Deutsche Welle citations in this very article. In cases where anglophone media use the native language name, such as Podemos, then there is a stronger case for using that on WP rather than translating the name.
