Track "Jesus Loves Me"

The sixth track of the album, titled "Jesus Loves Me", should have under writers "Anna B. Warner, William B. Bradbury". The Wikipedia article on the song/hymn already mentions lyrics by Anna Bartlett Warner with a tune from William Batchelder Bradbury later added, and my own booklet of the album credits "Anna B. Warner, William B. Bradbury" as writers for the track. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.88.65 (talk) 01:22, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Soundtrack

This cannot be credited as a Houston album as it was a soundtrack (various artists). It cannot be claimed as the best selling album by a female artist for the same reason as well as this title belonging to Shania Twain (39m), and it certainly cannot be claimed as the 3rd biggest selling album of all time, as it sits closer to 7th or 8th (refer list of best-selling albums worldwide). It can claim being the biggest selling soundtrack of all time. Amending to suit.60.234.242.196 19:10, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually it cannot claim best selling soundtrack either. This is 'Saturday Night Fever' at 40 million sold.60.234.242.196 19:28, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

the Bodyguard (soundtrack) is considered a whitney houston album because...She sang 6 songs, shes also the executive producer and the star of the movie. It is the biggest selling female album and soundtrack in the world today...42 Million units it has sold. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.48.96.100 (talk) 01:56, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Further to the above, I have duly referred to the list of best-selling albums worldwide as suggested, and as of Christmas Day 2008, this album is ranked therein as the 4th best selling album worldwide, not 7th or 8th! --Joe Gatt (talk) 20:20, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

This is also the best-selling overall album of the entire 1990s. This album means Houston is the only female act with a 40+ million selling album; it currently stands at 42 million sold. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.192.176.30 (talk) 21:32, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Billboard clearly doesn't show this album as one by or credited to Whitney Houston. If so, it would hold the record for the longest time for an album by a female to hold the #1 position, wouldn't it? Billboard does not show that. It shows that record belonging to Carole King for Tapestry.

This list doesn't show it as a Whitney Houston album, either: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number-one_albums_of_1993_(U.S.)

Also, half the songs on this album are NOT recorded by Whitney Houston. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.122.216 (talk) 07:30, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Whitney Houston is the primary singer on this album, when the album won for Album of the Year at the Grammy's, Whitney was credited and came up on stage, her picture is on the cover along with her name, she was a co-executive producer. It's not a stretch to call it a Whitney Houston album. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.96.47.130 (talk) 01:47, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Non-US bonus track

There was a song by Kenny G called "Waiting for You". It is available in non-US versions of this soundtrack (type the song title, (the film title, if necessary), and his name in search engines) and The Very Best of Kenny G. --Gh87 01:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Platinum?

In the part where its listing what the album sold in different countries, it says in Canada it went 12x Platinum but in front of that it says it only sold 1,200,000 copies- I'm more inclinded to think it only sold 1.2 million copies because 12 million copies in Canada would be a large percentage of the entire population of Canada buying the album... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.54.6.247 (talk) 02:01, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

1.2 million copies sold in Canada is 12x platinum. It takes 100,000 sold in Canada to be platinum there, which is great sales for that country. By selling 1.2 million in that country alone (which is a staggering number there), Whitney went 12x platinum. In America, it takes more copies to be sold to go platinum: 1,000,000. She went 17x platinum in America by selling 17 million copies in that country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.192.176.30 (talk) 18:51, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Female solo artist?

It is claimed on this page that it is the best selling album ever by a female solo artist but this album is credited as having various artists so the album isn't exclusively Whitney Houston effort, yet when I tried to edit this the page was put back incorrectly to state this. The best selling album by a female solo artist is Come On Over by Shania Twain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sorta12345 (talkcontribs) 19:48, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Sections after "Personnel" appear together

Hi there! I made an edit on the "weekly charts" section as I usually do and after doing this all the sections after "Personnel" appear together, this only happens on the mobile view, already checked on two phones and the page has the same problem on both, I also checked the source and everything seems fine to me. Please help! And sorry if I screwed up the page :\ Ale14112000 (talk) 22:42, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
