[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved with no prejudice against speedy renomination should this survive its AfD nomination. It's best if the article is left at this name while the discussion is ongoing. Anarchyte (work | talk) 11:29, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
The Courier (micro-series) → The Courier (miniseries) – "Micro-series" is barely a "thing", and is certainly an incorrect disambiguation term under WP:NCTV. The Courier (miniseries) is probably a better choice in this case than The Courier (TV series). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 18:05, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- I support any change that moves this from micro-series, which is not a thing. This format of short episodes forming one unit has been along for a while with mentions in articles such as Heroes calling it minisodes, The Flash calling it four-episode series of shorts and Lost calling it mobisodes. I'm OK with miniseries and also OK with a future discussion trying to find a word to better describe these. --Gonnym (talk) 21:28, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support per WP:NCTV. jamacfarlane (talk) 23:47, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- but I note that the article still refers to it as a "micro-series" and I think this should be changed before the page move. jamacfarlane (talk) 23:48, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- That's easy to fix after the move. I actually wouldn't remove "micro-series" from the article anyway (it even properly links to micro-series) – I just would supplement the lede with something along the lines of "...a miniseries of television shorts..." --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:34, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
- micro-series was created by the same editor on the same day, and those were their only edits. I don't think either of these is a legitimate encyclopedic topic. -- Netoholic @ 15:48, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose and move to The Courier (film) - that's how the one mainstream source (LA Times) refers to it. Personally, think this needs to be deleted (or merged somewhere). It was essentially a short film commercial for Pontiac with a narrative element broken up into commercial-length segments. One line within a mainstream news source doesn't mean it meets WP:NTV. -- Netoholic @ 09:32, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- Netoholic, The Courier (film) is already taken for a 2012 film, so I propose either:

- Oh then I straight oppose because I don't want to displace a legitimate topic for this thing until it survives an AfD. -- Netoholic @ 15:48, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
