Joey inadvertently or deliberately?[edit]

Joey inadvertently ends up talking her out of it,

What evidence is there that this is inadvertant? Given Joey's reactions in later seasons to when he finds out that first a friend and then a sister is to be a single mother it does suggest he's not sure single motherhood is the best thing for those around him.
