Promotional concerns
[edit]The article repeatedly links to a commercial page (amazon.com) selling the book. I don't think this is appropriate for and encyclopedia, so I am being bold and removing them. 24.17.69.199 (talk) 07:56, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

No consensus to move. I'll note that the nominated name is not the name of the article this more request appeared in. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:46, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
The Rite (film) → The Rite – Primary topic. Only other article with this name is a fairly insignificant Swedish film. Marcus Qwertyus 23:07, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Oppose. Only by a mechanical application of policy and guidelines, blind to the actual needs of readers, could such a move begin to make sense. Nothing would be gained by dropping the qualifier ("film"), and immediate utility – in making the meaning clear – would be lost. "The Rite" could mean all sorts of things to all sorts of readers; and the change of the words themselves needs motivation. Details please? NoeticaTea? 00:40, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:NOTBUREAUCRACY per Noetica. It should remain disambiguated. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 05:16, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- Support moving The Rite (2011 film) to The Rite because the only other topic of that specific title is The Rite (1969 film), which is far less trafficked than the article for the 2011 film. Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, this article is what readers are most likely to be looking for when they search for "The Rite". A hatnote can identify this as the 2011 film and link to the 1969 film as well as rite (disambiguation). This kind of useful hatnote has been implemented for even high-level topics like Venus. There is not a risk of confusion here. Erik (talk | contribs) 20:26, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
