In response to the question asked by 67.246.33.98, whose edit I have just reverted, the content of the deleted sentence is clearly supported by the content of the book. It was part of the article as I originally created it, and ties in with part of the "Background" section (which was revised and expanded by other editors) and with three of the categories in which the article appears.
