Ryan's SMGs

[edit]

His son sold the interest in Thompson to Russell Maguire; anybody know for how much? Trekphiler 07:25, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

More or better references would strengthen the article, i.e. content and NPOV presentation. Also, while it seems obvious that he's notable, it would help to have several reliable sources to establish notability. HG | Talk 02:17, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second Wife's Name?

[edit]

I cleaned up this article somewhat in the limited time I had available this morning, and added some refs to Gerald Fogarty's book, though not to Ryan's derogatory nickname as the "Seigneur of Oak Ridge". I also noticed that the findagrave link gives a different name, Margaret Townsend, for his second wife. The article needs more cleanup, but I don't have the time, nor do I want to get involved with the Oak Ridge Estate site, which WebOfTrust marks as red (known for malware and/or spam).Jweaver28 (talk) 14:32, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Film business

[edit]

Is this the Thomas F. Ryan who bought out Sigmund Lubin's film business in 1917? I saw that Thomas F. Ryan noted as a sugar businessman. Thanks for any help! FloridaArmy (talk) 19:55, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Ryan was on the Executive Committee for the Morton Trust Company which had Elihu Root as its counsel.[1] FloridaArmy (talk) 19:55, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
