Additional sources[edit]

A little googling shows Long in this, this (NB a primary source, to be used with care), this, page 6 of this (good content, dodgy source, but specifies its own source, which is obscure [I don't see it in Worldcat] but surely can be found [it's described here). At which point I started to tire of going through Google, but I could have continued. So what's now a mere stub could be developed. 1832 or 1839[edit]

@FloridaArmy:, in this edit changed his date of birth from "1832 or 1839" to January 10 1839, but this was done in the first sentence only; the second paragraph still contains the "born in Jacksonville in 1832" sentence. This needs to be corrected. The 1832 date is supported by a Tampa Bay source while the 1839 date is supported by the Florida's Black Public Officials, 1867–1924 book published by University of Alabama Press. So, there is a discrepancy in the sources. The book seems more reliable since Tampa Bay only mentions the subject in passing. I'm not familiar with the subject area so I'll leave the correction to someone who's better at this stuff. TryKid[dubiousdiscuss] 01:52, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
