Missing lead[edit]

Good catch, Robdumas. It looks like the Lead paragraph was accidentally deleted here when the infobox was converted from a table to a template. Your version of the Lead is actually better in the first few sentences, so I just tacked the old Lead on to the end of yours, as it was written as a transition to the next paragraph. In fact, it might be better workied in to the second paragraph, if someone else wants to tweak it. - BillCJ (talk) 21:52, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Thresher/Permit-class submarinePermit-class submarine – There is no such thing as a "Thresher/Permit-class submarine". The class was originally the Thresher class; following the loss of Thresher, it was renamed the Permit class. Wikipedia standards in this sort of situation are to use the name by which the subject of the article was most commonly known by, which in this case is Permit-class submarine, with other names as redirects to it and being mentioned in the lede of the article. So this should be at Permit-class submarine per WP:COMMONNAME. The Bushranger One ping only 08:14, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

Thresher-class submarine should redirect here, along with Thresher and Permit class submarine , Permit and Thresher class submarine , Permit/Thresher-class submarine , Permit/Thresher class submarine -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 09:42, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

The first, yes. The others, not really - they are very unlikely search terms (then again, so is the current title...) - The Bushranger One ping only 05:25, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
