instrumental in Lincoln's nomination?[edit]

How so? Weed supported his long time ally, Seward in 1860, not Lincoln. john k (talk) 04:56, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Sources?[edit]

Anyone notice the complete lack of sources cited? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.117.90.83 (talk) 02:44, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Also, since religion played a major role in those times, there should be some mention of his religion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.147.123.113 (talk) 07:29, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Very surpried to find there is no biography on Weed. Even more, after reading the latest biography of Seward and now reading latest of Gen./President Grant, references to Weed, at least in this Grant history, come only from other sources, nothing personally from Weed's accounts. Seems time for someone to dig into this goldmine of an historical figure with a substantial non-fiction work.Mwprods (talk) 23:25, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
