[edit]My edit stating that Channel 5 had been renamed 1+1 international was reverted. I have an email from Phyllis Marano from rogers cable stating the effected change. I believe my information to be accurate. See below:
Please note that Channel 5 (Ukranian) has now rebranded to 1+1 International - a decision made by the broadcaster.
Channel # Call Sign Digital Service Name 630 1+1 1+1 International
Background: Channel 5 Ukraine is a 24 hour, 7 day a week Ukrainian language general entertainment channel which provides a variety of programming from news to movies. On June 1st, the Ethnic Channels Group (broadcaster of Channel 5) made the decision to switch the programming found on Channel 5 to 1+1 International, another popular Ukrainian entertainment channel, offering a mix of programming directly from the Ukraine.
Programming Description: 1+1 is a national Ukrainian-language TV channel and is one of the leading TV producers in the Ukraine, offering its viewers a wide range of programs. It invites everyone to spend time together with a collection of quality news and general entertainment, broadcast in Ukrainian. The channel's prime time schedule is dedicated to the best examples of cultural television: talk shows, documentaries, cinema and music.
Remember to consult www.rogers.com/channels for all the latest channel lineups for your area!
Best Regards, Phyllis

- It's only your cable operator has switched to DIFFERENT channel, not renamed this one. Channel 5 still existing in other cable operators. --TAG 16:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Persistent sock puppetry and renaming to Alfa Canada vandal
[edit]This page is semi-protected for a period of 3 months due to persistent sock puppetry made by a suspect sockmaster User:DiscoveryTeenHD. On 29 April 2023, under the username of User:EvilestFoti has started vandalising this page by renaming to of a non-existant Canadian version of a Bulgarian television channel Alfa TV (diff). I have reverted his vandals, because there is no such channel and no sources were found about that. Next day, he came back again with the same edit with a Bulgarian IP address (diff 2). He bypassed the blocking and came back with 2 new Bulgarian IP addresses (which are blocked for the same reason) (diff 3) (diff 4). I asked them to protect the page from vandals, they did, then 2 weeks later they came back and all the nonsense started again. They were all blocked because it was the same person from Bulgaria who vandalised pages about channel closures, renames and used other accounts like User:SvobodaZaAtaka.
