[edit]We need more than this for the general idea of a tracking System. I'm moving this article somewhere else and setting up and ambiguity page.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracking_system#Attendance_management and it's associated citation are not properly integrated. This section also looks to be pulled word-for-word from a low quality article. Further, it focuses on a particular instance of tracking systems, which is not noteworthy to persons outside the "Spring Independent School District". I recommend deletion. 129.72.129.227 (talk) 18:59, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]Is it worth merging MAC Address Anonymization with this? They're very similar, and this could easily be covered as a category within tracking. Cyberjacob (talk) 09:23, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose merge; the article is more about anonymization of the mac address and so has quite distinct aims from the tracking system article. Klbrain (talk) 15:30, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
@Klbrain and Cyberjacob: Fgnievinski also suggested merging Real-time locating system into Locating system. I'm not sure if these terms are synonyms. Jarble (talk) 22:27, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Tracking system is the main article. Real-time locating system is a component or sub-type of tracking system. A merge would create an WP:UNDUE issue in Tracking system. Real-time locating system is independently notable so there is no problem leaving it as a separate article. ~Kvng (talk) 14:31, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
- Closed, given the uncontested objections with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 12:59, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
