Subspecies[edit]

The intro states that only one subspecies is known for Trimeresurus purpureomaculatus, and yet two subspecies names are listed in the table later in the page. Should the initial sentence be changed to two, or is there some kind of rule on official recognition of subspecies that isn't clear here? ~ Ciar ~ _{(Talk to me!)} 22:24, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
