UAAP/NCAA season article outline

[edit]

Can we follow the unspoken rule for UAAP/NCAA season article outline?

As observed, the outline (of previous season articles) is as follows:

Basketball
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
  Juniors' tournament
Volleyball
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
  Boys' tournament
  Girls' tournament
Beach volleyball
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
Sport #4
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
Sport #5
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
..
..
..
Sport #100
  Men's tournament
  Women's tournament
Exhibition events
   Cheerdance
   Streetdance
General championship summary
   Seniors' division
   Juniors' division

This article and UAAP Season 81 have "Basketball", "Volleyball" (etc) sections under "Sports tournaments" heading which is not present in majority of the previous season articles.  McVahl  Talk  09:33, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recently updated UAAP Season 81 and UAAP Season 82 to remove "Sports tournaments" heading.  McVahl  Talk  10:00, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Joseroyal:,
1) In what you did in Old revision of UAAP Season 72 - I don't see the point why we need to add "Seniors Division" and "Juniors Division" (and seriously, without apostrophe?) for each sport section when we have already "Men's", "Women's", "Boys'" and "Girls'" headings.
2) And in Old revision of UAAP Season 69 - Why change from "Overall championship" to "General championship"?
3) You've done several disturbing edits in almost all UAAP season articles without explaining your point.  McVahl  Talk  07:29, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Medals table and overall tally

[edit]

I am currently working on Module:PHL sports overall tally to address the problems (i.e. difficult to maintain, prone to bugs) of the following templates:

This module is also implemented to add support for NCAA (Philippines) general championship table.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. Please post to the module's talk page, Module talk:PHL sports overall tally, if you have any.

Re: medal tables, can we get rid of those? Unlike Olympics or SEA games, the UAAP and NCAA use the point-based system to determine the overall champions and these medal tables deem unnecessary. – McVahl (talk) 06:13, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please let us remove these medal tables. Aeron Valderrama (talk) 07:24, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Change in designation of competition divisions

[edit]

Can I ask for help in changing the text and the templates to the current designation of the competition divisions to collegiate and high school, instead of seniors' and juniors', respectively, starting from this season?

This is the current competition divisions in the UAAP:

Collegiate: Men's, Women's

High School: Boys', Girls'

For single-gender or mixed-gender events, just use the higher-level designation: e.g., Poomsae (Collegiate), Football (High School) or Football (HS). Aeron Valderrama (talk) 07:32, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
