Article needs work, but this is a billion dollar company. Their processes make a big chunk of the refining and petrochemical industry go. Don't delete. --John Nagle 08:38, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Extensive rewrite October 2011[edit]

Interesting comment by John...above a billion dollar company hardly anyone ever heard of. I worked for the firm and much of the rewrite is drawn from an article published by a former co-worker named James Johnson. The data contained within the American Chemical Society reference has a lot more of interest and a large amount of data can be written about the firm. I have attempted to make the Adsorption separation technology area easy enough for a freshman high school student to understand. This technology alone deserves it's own separate page and perhaps someone may wish to add that. Notice the press given to Fluid catalytic cracking. If someone would please dig out their 75 year history of UOP book this page could use the references to company early years, the teams that went to oil refinery towns searching for proof, and facts that UOP was world's largest buyer of platinum. Update External Link[edit]

I have updated and merged the two identical ACS links and added wiki links to those articles. I am the program coordinator of the ACS-NHCL program. KLindblom (talk) 17:31, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

I have a WP:COI with Honeywell. I added an image Honeywell contributed of their refinery under a Creative Commons license as a non-controversial edit. Corporate Minion 23:00, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
