If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thomas W. Talley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Good luck at ACS editathon

[edit]

Hi KLindblom. I don't believe we got the chance to meet on Sunday at the symposium, but I enjoyed your talk on the ACS's outreach work on wikipedia and chemical knowledge in general. I wish you the best of luck with your editathon today, though I won't be able to be there (I have a good excuse: I'm in SF right now). Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:17, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

DYKs from ACS editathon

Both Cynthia Larive and Day-Glo Color Corp. are long enough for Did You Know. See the instructions at Template talk:Did you know#To nominate an article. As an experienced DYKer, I have to review someone else's nomination in order to nominate articles myself, but because you have less than 5 DYK credits you don't have to do that, so there's positive arbitrage if you nominate them yourself. I'll keep an eye on them and help out with the nominations if any issues come up. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 04:32, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Cynthia Larive

[edit]

On 10 April 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Cynthia Larive, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that bioanalytical chemist Cynthia Larive uses NMR and mass spectroscopy to authenticate the contents of pomegranate juice? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Cynthia Larive. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
