Competition

[edit]

I think someone needs to write what the competing products are and what are competing free software products. -Mardus 14:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to list some in the following days, if I'm not busy.--H.T. Chien / 眼鏡虎 (Discuss|Contributions) 19:14, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Founder and Virus issues

[edit]

I changed the founder's name from the frivolously incorrect Louise Liaw to the correct Lewis Liaw (he's a guy!) and removed the section about numerous virii and worms in Ulead's downloads as it was unsourced, unverified and I couldn't find anything in a Google or Yahoo search to back up the claims. While I would be surprised if there has never been any such incident, I have used Ulead's software for over 10 years and have never encountered or of heard of it happening and seriously doubt it is such a problem as to be so prominent in the article. I trust that any reversion to include such damaging claims will be sourced or otherwise verified.

Steve Lewis

Yes Steve, you are correct. It's my fault to type the wrong name for Lewis, for I have known him for some time. I should not make such fault on this, thanks for the correction.
About the virus/worms section, it's not true and is a mislead information so I removed it again. And I will apply for semi-protection if the IP user add the section again.--H.T. Chien / 眼鏡虎 (Discuss|Contributions) 19:14, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Self Redirect?

[edit]

The link "PhotoImpact" under Products > Image is redirecting to this page itself, creating a self-redirect. Perhaps we can remove that link or that redirect. (Action deferred until there is an agreement) - LR4087 05:43, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the link. Jobjörn (Talk ° contribs) 12:01, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

iPhoto

[edit]

I have an old software from Ulead called iPhoto Plus 4. Today iPhoto seems to be Apple software. Is there a story about selling the brand or some legal stuff? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.214.246.30 (talk) 12:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, iPhoto was a Ulead brand and is been sold to Apple because Apple wants to use it. After the brand is been sold, Ulead changed the product name to Ulead PhotoExpress. However, this story was not cited on any media so I guess it might not be good to write the story here.--H.T. Chien (Discuss|Contributions) 16:58, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
