Untitled 2006 comment

[edit]

OMO "Ilinden" has NOTHING to do with OMO "Ilinden" - Pirin; they are different organziations, and at some point, they are "enemies"!!! They have similar names, but are 2 COMPLETELY different things! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.162.243.198 (talkcontribs)

They are really the same, read their website: [1] At least they consider themselves the same organization.   /FunkyFly.talk_  18:06, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite clear if it is so or not.   /FunkyFly.talk_  17:30, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it's a true and well known fact: these are two seperate organizations

1) OMO Ilinden led by Jordan Kostadinov of Sandanski

2) OMO Ilinden Pirin led by 5-member Presidency! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.162.242.20 (talkcontribs)

Erm, that link does not say anything about UMO Ilinden. Perhaps you should add it to the page about OMO Ilinden. - FrancisTyers · 17:46, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OMO (obedinena makedonska organizaciya) is the Bulgarian/Slav Macedonian translation of UMO (it is sometimes left untranslated - compare VMRO and IMRO). --Tēlex 17:51, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They have similar names: one is called "UMO Ilinden" (created back in 1990), and the other is "UMO Ilinden Pirin" created in 2000, under the name "UMO PIRIN". Now, after June 25, 2006, "OMO PIRIN" got united with several smaller organizations of Macedonians in Bulagria! BUT, - READ CAREFULLY: OMO Ilinden did NOT join the new party! Even more: they are on the opposite side!

Let's make it more clear: Though with similar names, COCA COLA and PEPSI COLA are 2 different companies!

Also, that link about "75 000 euros" is: just a speculation of Krasimir Karakacahnov (former communist Bulgaria secret service agent + communist historian - what a "nice" combination!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.162.242.20 (talkcontribs)

Sources? Their own webpage does not seem to say this.   /FunkyFly.talk_  18:17, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UMO Ilinden & Umo Ilinden Pirin are seperate org-ions

EFA-membership

[edit]

The EFA is a European political party which decides per definition independently of governmental opinions on membership approvals. If a party's position is unclear the EFA knows its own methods of investigating if requirements are met. UMO Ilinden-Pirin being banned by mono-ethnicism idealizing Bulgaria and being named a foreign sovereignity agent has not impressed the EFA whatsoever. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 02:24, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
