Not wiki quality[edit]

I agree with the above poster who stated that this reads like a bad tabloid article. This UN gang article needs to be brief, sans all the minutiae. I went through all of what's there and edited grammar to make it more readable. I figure as for the minutiae, there is an inherent interest in including detail which has made press. History of gangs is a growing academic field and a field of general interest, so detail may be fitting for the audience of the article. An "unanswered 911 call"?[edit]

  "On June 9, 2007, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) was called to his residence due to an unanswered 911 call."

Does this mean is that someone called 911 from that number, then didn't speak, and hung up? Or that they called the number back, and no-one answered? Because as far as I know, 911 isn't in the habit of calling people to check up on them. AnnaGoFast (talk) 20:24, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
