Notability tag

[edit]

In response to the notability tag, aren't the awards won by the pub (including a national award by The Times newspaper) both proof or notability and sources of evidence>? Robertsteadman 15:44, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It didn't win it, it was runner-up... but even if it had, unless there's some kind of historical notability to the place I'm strongly tempted to list it on articles for deletion anyway and see what the wider view is. No offence to whoever runs it. - Motor (talk) 15:50, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fine but I think it deserves an article - 166 years old and all those awards, a story of rrestoration and regeneration.... its inclusion in Harden's Top Restaurant listings is a sign of notability.... Nottingham Evening Post – Pub Of The Year 1995, Nottinghamshire Dining Pub Of The Year – Good Pub Guide 2002, Nottingham CAMRA Pub Of Excellence Award Feb 2003, The Times – Pub Of The Year , Runner-Up 2000 - all worthy of notability in my book - there are many far less notable things on Wikipedia.... It is a very well-known pub in the East Midlands area (rather than just locally), and I believe the headquarters of Tynemill who are a serious player in establishing pubs with a florishing clientele and good beers. - MightyWarrior 19:54, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Victoriahotellogo.gif

[edit]

Image:Victoriahotellogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
