Background

Luge

  • "ruled in February 2006" — February 2006 is the same month as the games, and from the sources this happened on the 17th, i.e., during the games. I would add the day that she broke her wrist, and the day of the ruling.
  • "Abernathy was the oldest female athlete at these Olympics." — This belongs at the start of the paragraph. Also, per this source, she was the first person over the age of 50 to ever qualify for a winter Olympics.
  • There's some more information in the sources about Abernathy that I think you can add here—her describing age as an inspiration to others, her receiving a signed luge number from the other competitors, etc.
  • Who won gold/silver/bronze?

Photograph

Another one, Courcelles. Interesting story. A quick Google turned up some more relevant information on Abernathy (see above; more here), and I think you could easily find some more and add it. --Usernameunique (talk) 05:45, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
