Hi Dicklyon,

As per my request, thanks for improving this article yesterday.

Since the article is under development, lets see what part to delete. However, we can mark it accordingly.

The comparison table you deleted yesterday is a simple 2-D with a few parameters. In the coming days of development, it will become more evident why it should or should not be kept.

I think you've added a similar table to several different articles, and would not make sense to maintain it in different places. It may not make sense to include at all, unless you have a source for it. If it's a synthesis from multiple sources, it may violate WP:SYN; in any case, needs to be very clear where the data come from. Based on some of your edits changing the data, I have the impression that it is unstable WP:OR. Dicklyon (talk) 18:40, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dicklyon,

I think it would be appropriate to rename title / move to Voter ID (Indian).

What do you think?

I think Voter ID (India) would be more conventional. Go for it. Dicklyon (talk) 18:40, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dicklyon,

Thanks for your collaborative approach and help.

On the table part, let us keep that on hold for a while. I will get back with sources / citation later, we will discuss and then decide. Ravishyam Bangalore (talk) 14:26, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vote ID (India) April-2014

[edit]

Explanation:

Para Voter card not required, (not in given citation # 13): Aadhaar is mentioned in the citation as of the IDs.

Voter card is only an ID for voting, not a guarantee for name in the voting list (the roll) thus not a right to vote. In the absence of voter ID, other IDs can be used like Aadhaar, DL etc. By 2015, Aadhaar will be with every Indian, hence voter card will stand obsolete.

Please remove the citation comments once satisfied.
