Date of last steam operation
[edit]One reference, Stegmaier, says that the B&O regularly assigned steam locomotives to the Washingtonian until "April 1954". However, this date was challenged by several commentators in an off-Wikipedia B&O forum, who said that B&O discontinued all steam at its Riverside yards in Baltimore by November 1953. Another reference, Gallagher's Trackside Maryland, confirms this (page 137, 2003 ed.). Indeed, a photo caption of Pacific steam locomotive #5306 on p. 119 specifically states that it "made the B&O's last scheduled passenger steam haul from Baltimore ...[on] Trains 21 and 22 on Nov. 2, 1953". So, I've revised the date given in the article accordingly. JGHowes talk 12:16, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
