Highest summit

[edit]

Many sites, and even a 'scientific' paper I've added today as ref (but not for that mountain!), give it as 1412 m for Gunung Patas. Gunung Patas is here (openstreet map), nowhere near the park that's also shown in the same map, a good 27 km away to the west. The highest point I see on the openstreet map is Mount Kelatakan 698 m. There is also Mount Prapatagung 375 m (in the peninsula) and quite a few others, no altitude given so they are lower.

Never mind if it's said/written in "an official document", so what: wrong is wrong whoever says it. They are all copying each other and none of them checks what the other's said. Don't do the same. Always check the maps. And give your sources. All of them. Pueblo89 (talk) 22:31, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
