Not sure if this image satisfies No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI which says "The logo of a entity used for identification of one of its child entities, when the child entity lacks their own branding. Specific child entity logos remain acceptable." is not acceptable for use as non-free. I'm pretty sure that the "parent" in this case would be Western Sydney Wanderers FC and the "child" would be the W-League team. If this is correct, then that the image should not be used and an image more specific to the W-League team, if any, should be used instead. This would also mean the non-free rationale provided for this article at File:Logo of Western Sydney Wanderers FC.svg#Summary is not valid. - Marchjuly (talk) 05:40, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should the logo of the W-League team be entitled to the Champions Star in any case ? The star is only for the Men's team, surely ? Matilda Maniac (talk) 11:27, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To be perfectly honest, I do not really know anything about the team, its logo, or the meaning of the "star" other than what is written in the article. I've only been trying to find a logo specific to the W-league team that complies with WP:NFCC, but have had no luck so far. The closest I've come is this tiny little one found at www.w-league.com.au/ladder. This tiny logo looks like the one being used on the uniform in this photo from the Mens team's Twitter page, but for some reason the team does not seem to have its own Facebook or Twitter page like some of the other W-League teams do.
Finally, I don't think the logo currently being used complies with No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI for the reason I gave above, so it could be removed for that reason alone. If, however, the "star version" is also "incorrect" (i.e., the women don't use it at all), then the logo could also be removed per WP:NFCC#8. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:33, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Matilda Maniac: Hi Matilda Maniac. Please take a look at this Facebook photo. Do you have any idea where I might be able to find the W-League team logo (the one her left with the white background) shown on this player's jersey? I think this is the logo which should be being used in the infobox. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:16, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
