External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway (1916–88). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20071114130404/http://www.nscorp.com/nscorphtml/shortline/images/maps/we.png to http://www.nscorp.com/nscorphtml/shortline/images/maps/we.png
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

Edit to dates in the article header About notes
[edit]It was confusing for the article to have two different dates referenced in the header About, 1949, and the title, 1988. If it "ceased operations" in 1949, why did the railroad still function as a separate entity until 1988? I was bold and changed the dates in the header to reflect the actual end of operations, not a change in management, some notion that ownership by another company somehow ends the life of a railroad. Most clearly, the About section and boxes need to reflect the date in the title to avoid confusion. -- Srwalden (talk) 10:44, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
