I wanted to talk about my mental health. I rarely feel any emotion. I have had almost no real laughs in half a year even at shows I used to laugh to a year ago are just not funny t me anymore. I never want to do anything I gave up my hobby wich was gymnastics, because I didn’t want to do it anymore. I never go outside unless I have to and when I do I mostly listen to music and unconsciously start thinking if the rooftops would be high enough to jump off. I am not really suicidal tho, I just think about it. I feel emotionally neutral/ numb even tho I don’t have any friends Im ugly and I think my only friend who is my best friend doesn’t like me anymore, school is very hard and it looks like I am going to fail math. I am very alone, but still i very rarely feel sad and I don’t remember the last time I cried. I don’t know if I’m just not emotional or if it is not normal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kassssandra (talk • contribs) 17:42, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]I disagree with the link to Answers Corperation being too their website, I changed it to the article on Answers Corp. but it was reverted. MinuteElectron 14:50, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:FAQFARM.JPG
[edit]Image:FAQFARM.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Note : FAQFarm was the original name for WikiAnswers.com. It was renamed when Answers.com purchased the site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.162.224.26 (talk) 17:58, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Please Confirm that Article Meets Standards
[edit]I have taken some time today to update the article on WikiAnswers to sound less like an advertising piece. Would you kindly check to make certain that it meets guidelines? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.16.72.200 (talk) 20:51, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Your edits made a big difference in tightening the content and explaining concisely how the process works. You had reverted my edit that removed the logo section, and it took me a few minutes to figure out the infobox logo was the similar answers.com logo, which I replaced with the correct wikianswers logo and removed the logo section. I also made additional edits consistent with wikistyle. I think it's too soon to remove the advertising tag; the article's references are mostly self-references to the website, and the content should be shortened considerably -- removing the table of external links to topic, consolidating most of the sections and bulleted list into one or two sections and condensing the mission and principles into one or two sentences. Adding external news articles would also help justify adding any additional article length or keeping what's already there. Flowanda | Talk 23:39, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Changing words
[edit]As one of those 380 some Supervisor's, I would like to correct one thing, but thought i would ask first. Instead of saying senior supervisor's are 'Old supervisors' I would like to correct it to say Seasoned supervisor's, as that is what we call them. Thanks for the great write up!

Rewrite Time
[edit]Yes, it had to happen eventually, and it has. As Kevin (above) said, it was a 'great write-up', but it wasn't a Wikipedia article. I have attempted to remedy that, and address some of the multiple issues.
I've neutralised POV, stripped out the most extraneous information, link farm and ad-speak; and generally cleaned up both the content and the language.
I've detagged the page, but that is not to say there isn't still work to do. Centrepull (talk) 07:11, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Wikia
[edit]Perhaps this should mention that Wikianswers is also the name of Wikia's newly relaunched Q&A site[1] which was named this 2 years before Answers Corp acquired FAQFarm and gave it the same name. Angela. 00:46, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- I added Secdio (talk) 14:14, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
It looks like someone removed this information that you added. I think this whole page is biased towards answers.com commercial answers service rather than wikia's free wikianswer service, and this page should redirect to the two different services rather than being solely for answers.com service, especially since it was named wikianswers after wikia's service. cheers, Jamie 24.108.77.192 (talk) 02:49, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Both Wikia and Answers Corporation are commercial, and both are usable free of charge. 71.60.164.66 (talk) 15:00, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Addy?
[edit]To me this sounds very advertisey-especially the intro. Anyone else think that? dottydotdot (talk) 16:36, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. I'd also suggest including information on how abysmal most of the answers actually are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.16.34.166 (talk) 18:47, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
I believe both of these statements can bring credibility to the article if news articles or reviews of the website were introduced. Replacing advertising language with personal opinions won't improve the quality here.--Lord Arador 20:32, 25 March 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord Arador (talk • contribs)
Languages
[edit]I think there should add a section in the article about the languages that WikiAnswers has lanched in, such as Tagalog, Italian (Italiano), Spanish (Espanol), Deutsch.--Clarkcj12 (talk) 19:54, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Is it NPOV?
[edit]I was reading the article's lead, and I saw the sentence "Each question has a "living" answer, which is edited and improved over time by the WikiAnswers.com community." I was wondering if it was necessarily improved over time. I also saw the sentence, "Anyone can ask a question and anyone from anywhere in the world can answer it." I was wondering if that had a reference. After I saw it, I looked at the reference for the first paragraph of the lead, and it looks like it's from Answers.com. I think this reference may be promoting WikiAnswers, and I think the article reads out somewhat like an advertisement. - Wuffyz 03:06, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- I agree; I've cut out some of the more obviously promotional statements and tried to make it NPOV. Can't be sure it meets the standard just yet, though. Michaelmas1957 (talk) 03:14, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- What are the issues? The flag has been up a few years now. NCSS (talk) 16:57, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
It may be awhile but...
[edit]Answers.com was purchased, and the buyer is prominent from his appearance on The Apprentice. No word on whether the staff are planning to provide this on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.230.222.251 (talk) 12:20, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
So who thinks we should add this link to the See alsos? Yeah it redirects to projectspace (useful x-namespace link i suppose too), but the enwiki reference desk is definitely deserving to be listed among those.. tops them all imo. -- Ϫ 04:25, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Criticism?
[edit]This article is extremely misleading in that it suggests that WikiAnswers is a useful website, rather than an ad-filled content farm. Seriously, the area percentage of ads per page is well over 50% on most pages. Also, the content itself is of extremely low quality. These details are not reflected in this article. Obviously I can't just add them in because that would be original research, but surely there exists some reliable source for such critcisms? 138.16.21.199 (talk) 20:33, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

wife had affair keep or move on
[edit]ok me and my fiance had been together 12 years. along time for a young couple.we met in high school.. I'm 29 now and she is 25...alright before I ask my question a little back ground. I cheated last year just a one night stand no real feelings. I also became distant this year as did she that's why I was so distant. we hadnt had sex in a year l..I've made mistakes as well as a younger man. well last weekend I found out she had been seeing a guy for 5 months.way longer than I ever have messed with anyone. I confronted her about it and she admitted but down played it at first. she's been going to this guys house on and off since 6 months ago.. she says she only went out there 6 times and had sex twice.which is hard for me to believe. she was going for like an hour each time. she says she just wanted to talk to someone because I was acting like she didn't exists.. But why would you drive out to his house and an hour just to talk? but after I found out she was crying telling me she didnt want to be with him she wanted to be with me and she only loved me but didn't think I loved her anymore.which is false I love her just didnt show it at times. but if she loves me and wants to be with me why would she still lie about stuff like how many times they had sex. I really can't believe they had sex only twice if she went six times. she has told him to never contact her again. I even asked was his penis bigger or better and she swears I'm a better bigger sex partner.. but i still can't believe if she went 6 times and only had sex 2 times. do you think that's the truth??she swears it is.. I just don't understand why.. why would you still wanna be with me but she's leaving me by myself at home while going to see another person.. why couldn't she just talk to me about her thinking i didn't love her before doing that.. she also says she had stopped seeing him.. But she never told me about the affair I had to find out through a friend.. I just need some advice.. she crys every night begging me not to leave her
