[edit]

This article gives two different dates for Lewis' joining NI - September 2010 (in the second paragraph) and July 2010 (seventh paragraph.) Only the July 2010 date has a reference, which is to a UK Press Gazette article dated 8th July 2010. (Perhaps the appointment was announced in early July, but he only started work at NI a month later?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imipak (talkcontribs) 17:52, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Knighthood

[edit]

Lewis was knighted in the 2022 Prime Minister's Resignation Honours List (https://news.sky.com/story/boris-johnsons-resignation-honours-list-in-full-as-key-allies-given-peerages-damehoods-and-knighthoods-12899576).

I would seem he is the William John Lewis in the list. IHGSA52859 (talk) 04:18, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t understand why the last editor removed the honorific I added. His name isn’t “sir William Lewis” it’s William Lewis. The honorific is “sir”. Silas T Comberbache (talk) 22:56, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Honorific

[edit]

An editor removed the honorific “Sir”. His name is not Sir William Lewis, it’s William Lewis. The edit should be reversed. Silas T Comberbache (talk) 22:58, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For reference look at the style guide: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MOS:SIR&redirect=no Silas T Comberbache (talk) 23:28, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
RE User:Therequiembellishere "Therequiembellishere talk contribs‎ 53,318 bytes +34‎ You don't know what vandalism means, but that's fine. We also don't express names like this in the infobox, that's why we have full name. I encourage you to look at any other biographical page on wikipedia. <3 undo"
This is incorrect. Take a look at pages of other people awarded the honorific "Sir" such as James Dyson Jimmy Savile. 2A00:23C5:E17C:4101:5D4D:2DBE:A7D0:A666 (talk) 13:43, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
