Roberts association with Penguin Books
[edit]I am a little surprised no mention is made in this article that William Roberts' fame must have grown somewhat following Penguin Books' decision to use his painting, The Control Room, Civil Defence Headquarters, as the cover art for Penguin's very successful paperback issue of George Orwell's novel '1984' during the 1960s and perhaps also into the 1970s. Certainly would seem to be worth a mention. I don't think I would ever have known of William Roberts except for that. Marty55 (talk) 14:35, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
