Dates are off

[edit]

1845 - 1905, when he should have signed the Declaration in 1776? I presume these dates are off by a century, but as I know nothing of the man, I will not edit just now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.213.220.62 (talk) 01:37, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of dubious edit

[edit]

I reverted an edit [1] as it seems rather dubious to me. There is was another Black Prince at the time owned by Robert Morris which became the first ship of the continential congress navy. Also what kind of name is John and George Meserve? That sounds like two people not one. And why would the brother of William Whipple have the surname Meserve? And if this is a recent discovery (how?) why can't I find any mention of it outside wikipedia? The IP which added it was from a university which as with many such IPs sadly is full of an edit history involving vandalism Nil Einne (talk) 10:16, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
