==CausesPossible causes== It has been postulated that the event was caused by El Niño, which has been known to have global effects—causing a change to the path of the jet stream and affecting the North Atlantic oscillation, reducing warm airflow into Europe. In the media, these events have been associated with global climate change; diverse opinions have been expressed as to whether this is an example of dramatic climate change, evidence against it or unrelated.

The issue is that this is not just speculation but that it is not really from reliable sources - whether a page that redirects to www.barking-moonbat.com is ever going t be reliable is subjective. The Times is often a reliable source (for news) for scientific meteorological analysis maybe not.

If reliable (ie scientific meteorological) opinions exists then they could be used.Oranjblud (talk) 21:39, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
