Platinum hallmarking

[edit]

from article - The Company was originally responsible for hallmarking platinum, gold and silver

To state that it originallyhallmarked these metals implies that hallmarking was done from the companies inception in the 1300's. However platinum finds reference in English in the mid 1500's. Wording should be adjusted to clarify that it was originally responsible for gold and silver , and then at a later date hallmarking of platinum. SauliH 14:13, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Setting up WikiProject Silverware?

[edit]

Would anyone be interested in helping to set up a WikiProject Silverware? I'm interested in salvers, coffee pots, jugs, candlesticks, famous silversmiths, different styles, etc. Thanks. Girlwithgreeneyes (talk) 11:38, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
