Errors in article[edit]

There seems to be a rather large oversight by the author of this article. Yoshin Ryu was a system founded by Akiyama Shinobu in 1732, and is a distinct system from Hontai Yoshin Ryu which was founded a century earlier by Oriemon Shigetoshi Takagi (born 1635). The distinction needs to be made because other wise there will be confusion between two distinct systems.

Will add info[edit]

As soon as I find the time I'll add some rudimentary information that at the very least will qualify this article as "stub". Fred26 11:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page split[edit]

At some point in the near future, this article should probably be split into separate, but similarly named articles, as these schools appear to have only their names in common. Separate articles for the Akiyama and Nakamura schools should be created and disambiguated, while the information about Takagi and Hontai Yoshin ryu should probably be merged into the Takenouchi-ryu article. Thoughts? Bradford44 13:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And of course, what should the names of the separate articles be? That is, what is the most popular name for each different school (other than simply "Yoshin-ryu")? Is it "Akiyama Yoshin-ryu" and "Nakamura Yoshin-ryu", or something else? Bradford44 13:49, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
