What does it mean "an associate of the anti-Kremlin oligarch"? Does it mean he worked for Berezovsky? He was paid by Berezovsky to write the book? Until this is clearly explaine, this is simply not an appropriate content, especially for an WP:BLP article. Not mentioning, this is POV-pushing.Biophys (talk) 02:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you can explain what does it mean "an associate", this material does not belong to a BLP article.Biophys (talk) 03:34, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Look the word up in a dictionary if you don't understand what it means to be "an associate". It is not BLP, it is sourced, and it is worded neutrally. You just don't want it in here, that's simple. This is also backed up by Spiegel, International Herald Tribune, New York Times, Kommersant, etc, etc, etc. I couldn't find one from the bastion of free press Chechenpress, but that doesn't matter here. --Russavia Dialogue 04:05, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know what "associate" means. The question is: what exactly he did for Berezovsky (per sources)? And if he did nothing, word "associate" was hardly appropriate.Biophys (talk) 22:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you know what associate means, then why are you asking? You are simply removing from articles that these figures are connected with Berezovsky. This is not a link that editors are making up, but which multiple reliable sources themselves state. You really need to take it up with Kommersant, New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Spiegel, etc, etc, etc. --Russavia Dialogue 02:01, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

From: http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-28835043_ITM - Charlie Rose interview

CHARLIE ROSE: You`re close associate also of Boris Berezovsky. You know him?

YURI FELSHTINSKY: Yes.

CHARLIE ROSE: You have written a book about him, you have edited some things of his, yes?

YURI FELSHTINSKY: Yes, of course.

CHARLIE ROSE: And he was very close to .

YURI FELSHTINSKY: Yes. Litvinenko worked for Boris Berezovsky since `97, `98.

CHARLIE ROSE: Yeah. Are you convinced that Mr. Berezovsky had nothing to do with this?

Felshtinsky himself says he is an associate of Berezovsky. I don't know what Biophys has a problem with here. --Russavia Dialogue 02:20, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Obsolete statement

[edit]

This statement is obsolete and should be removed: In 2007 investigator Mikhail Trepashkin said that, according to his FSB sources, "everyone who was involved in the publication of the book 'Blowing up Russia' will be killed", and that three FSB agents have made a trip to Boston to prepare the assassination of Felshtinsky.

Obviously Trepashkin's claim was a lie as no such assassination attempt had been made. It is an usual tactic for conspiracy theorists to claim that their lives are at risk to get sympathy and to promote their books. Eveyone can make such claims, without presenting any evidence of course, as always. Offliner (talk) 08:55, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
