contrarily to what IMDB is reporting, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar are NOT twins. Reasons:

Her Biography on the official site of Excel entertainment states that: Born in 1972 to renowned script and lyrics write Javed AKhatr...
On the day of his birthday, her brother, Farhan tweeted (note: This is his verified twitter account):

Morning. Some have wished Zoya a happy birthday as well. Sorry to disappoint, but we aren't twins. Her birthday is on the 14th of Oct. https://twitter.com/#!/FarOutAkhtar/status/156921288546451458

Therefor it would make the birthday of Zoya Akhtar: 14 October 1972.
