Tarap is a Pakistani Urdu film directed by Sangeeta. The film was a flop in Lahore, but successful in Karachi. It was shot in Dubai and Lahore. It is known for its popular soundtrack.

Release

The film was released on October 24, 2006 (Pakistan), Eid-ul-Fittar. This is a big-budget film (by local standards at least) shot in beautiful locations in both Dubai and Pakistan was a hit, but flop in Lahore. The film was hyped enough by local media due to the budget. and co-producer was M.Asif from London

Trivia

With Tarap, Sangeeta seems determined not to repeat past mistakes. “It is a family-oriented film with a strong social message. If it fails, I will be forced to reconsider making Punjabi action movies once again,” she said.
