Template:Dams and reservoirs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.

To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

  • {{Dams and reservoirs|state=collapsed}} will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.
  • {{Dams and reservoirs|state=expanded}} will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.

Notice to editors

[edit]
  • Please avoid removing redlinks. Redlinks increase the chances of the article being created.
  • Please limit this list to Countries. Link smaller regions within the larger country-list.
  • To be in line with the current naming style, please name new lists in the form of List of dams and reservoirs in [country].
  • Nearly all reservoirs (man-made lakes) are formed by the creation of some form of dam. Hence a comprehensive "dams and reservoirs" list would be more helpful to the reader, as well as the maintaining of lists by editors. Consider not creating separate individual "List of dams in [country]" or "List of reservoirs in [country]" type lists.
