1663 Charlevoix earthquake
[edit]- ... that missionaries to the colony of New France welcomed the 1663 Charlevoix earthquake as a miracle rather than a disaster?

- Hang on, using DYK check I get "Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 17 edits ago on February 27, 2012". At the time of the last edit on 26 February it was 1216 characters and it is now 6586 characters, a 5.4x expansion. Mikenorton (talk) 20:39, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- the 17th edit appears to me as "21:57, February 26, 2012" (which I have not checked the length of but take your word as 5X). This is the second time in recent days that my view of the history appears different from others. So I am going to yield this review to someone else.--Ishtar456 (talk) 20:58, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have also relied on DYK Check for expansion eligibility. This is easiest because if the tool is run on an article that has not been expanded in the last five days it will say so in no uncertain terms. It can be a little fuzzy trying to determine eligibility without the tool, but regardless of what comes of this, I will be working on the article in the next few hours and will probably add at least a little content along with other improvements. - I have never used DYK Check. I go back to the date of expansion and then use a java character counter and compare last edit on nom date. This is the second time that my history has given me different dates than others. I do not even see an edit on the 27th. It looks (to me) like the expansion began on the 25th. It is probably 5X from the 26th, but there is nothing at all on the 27th. So I will leave it alone. I will have to look into DYK Check. Take Care, --Ishtar456 (talk) 21:14, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- WOW, I am so sorry. I thought my time zone was set to "default". But I guess de fault is mine. I am all set to approve this nom taking the foreign language citation in good faith, but it is at the end of the paragraph and it needs to be after "miraculous". Do that and I will pass it.--Ishtar456 (talk) 22:24, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- No worries, I've added the cite at the end of the relevant sentence. Mikenorton (talk) 22:39, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
Accepting the foreign language citation on good faith. So sorry for the confusion.--Ishtar456 (talk) 22:43, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
