2016 Irkutsk mass methanol poisoning

[edit]
  • ... that the death toll in a 2016 mass methanol poisoning in Irkutsk, Russia, led the Associated Press to call it "unprecedented in its scale"? Source: AP
    • ALT1:... that scented bath lotion, made with methanol but labeled as containing alcohol, killed 74 people in December 2016? Source: BBC
  • Comment: Open to better hook ideas.

  • The article was recently promoted to GA and meets policy requirements and length requirements. QPQ , however, outstanding.
  • I have amended ALT1 from "last year" to "in 2016."
  • No no, I respect that. It was more of a suggestion than anything else. The hook and ALT 1 are solid and with QPQ done this nomination is good to go.
