See page 76 of Wolfe and Tanai in the discussion section of A. smileyi. If concerning, the word closely could be removed from the hook.--Kev min § 01:58, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

There is already an approved nomination on this page for Acer browni (see Template:Did you know nominations/Acer browni), nominated by the same user on December 11, two days before this one. I'm not sure of the rules, but it seems odd that the same article could be featured twice. Isn't there a prohibition against doing so? If there is, this might be an easy fix: both pages could be mentioned, but Acer browni unbolded. (Whether the hook should be inverted to put the bolded Acer nipponicum is another question.) Note: I'm new enough that I might not be understanding the rules correctly or the ease of any fix, but thought I should mention this now rather than later. I Withdraw the nomination! I don't know how I missed this, but in creating the nomination I linked to the incorrect new article! I will recreate the nom with the correct extinct maple species (Acer smileyi).--Kev min § 20:23, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
